SUNFLOWER

Dear Parents,

Welcome back to another school year! I hope you and your family had a fun and relaxing summer. I am so excited to be joining the Sunflower Elementary School family as your new school counselor. I cannot wait to get to know your students and families this year.

First, I wanted to take a moment to tell you about myself. I grew up in Valley Center, Kansas as the daughter of two teachers. I graduated with my Masters in School Counseling from Wichita State University and interned here at Sunflower. For the last two years, I was the school counselor at R. L. Wright Elementary School in Sedgwick, Kansas. I have been married to my husband, David, for fourteen years and live here in Andover with our three children, ages 13, 10, and 8.

I consider myself lucky to have the opportunity to pursue my passion of elementary school counseling in this amazing community. Thank you for the privilege of working with your children.
